1. Dr. Aphale's Eye Hospital has received an approval for an eye bank. Interested people may download the form, print, sign and send the registration form to the hospital. Please note that this service can be offered only to residents of Thane and near-by areas as of now.
2. Regular eye camps, especially for diabetic retinopathy diagnostic camps are held for diabetic patients. This is usually held on the Republic Day of India that is 26th January. Last such camp was held on 26th January 2005. 50 patients were examined.
3. Dr. Kshipra Aphale presented a paper on "Applications of Lasers in Ophthalmology" at a programme organised by the Indian Medical Association in Thane in August 2004.
